Oghenesuvwetoba Hails Ovie of Udu’s Forthcoming Staff of Office Presentation, Invites Udu Sons and Daughters.

The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (N.U.R.T.W), Udu Branch “A”, Comrade Festus Oghenesuvwetoba, has extended warm felicitations to His Royal Majesty, HRM Engr. Michael Ogheneovo Orugbo, JP, KP, Okporua I, the Ovie of Udu Kingdom, ahead of the official presentation of his Staff of Office by the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori.
The epoch-making ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Ovie Palace, Otor-Udu, by 10:00 a.m.
In his congratulatory message, Comr. Oghenesuvwetoba described the event as a monumental and joyous occasion for the entire Udu Kingdom, noting that it represents a significant milestone in the history of the Udu people. He said the presentation of the Staff of Office is not only a recognition of the monarch’s royal authority but also a symbol of peace, unity, and continuity within the kingdom.
The N.U.R.T.W Chairman further enjoined all sons and daughters of Udu Kingdom, friends, and well-wishers to come out in large numbers to grace the ceremony and celebrate with the revered monarch.
“This is a moment of pride for every true son and daughter of Udu. I urge all to be present at Otor-Udu to show solidarity and loyalty to our traditional institution as we witness this historic royal event,” he stated.
Comr. Oghenesuvwetoba reaffirmed his respect and unwavering loyalty to the throne of Udu Kingdom, praying for God’s continued wisdom, strength, and divine guidance upon HRM Engr. Michael Ogheneovo Orugbo, JP, KP, Okporua I.
